Our Budget Set By TEAM.

dotLIVING ALLOWANCE is the largest part of our support need. This is the money we are paid by TEAM to provide for our family of five. All TEAM missionaries, regardless of field, are paid the same amount. This amount is based on the average salary of a high school teacher with 5 years experience. That base salary is currently $2985 per month for a family of five.

dotTEAM subscribes to a service that calculates cost of living adjustment for each country. This allows adequate "buying power" for the missionary serving in a place more costly than the States.

dotThis means the total LIVING ALLOWANCE for our family of five in Japan is $4,088 monthly.

dotThe second part of our support need is MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS. This is the amount determined by TEAM as necessary for effective ministry in Japan. This is currently set at $1810 per month. This amount includes putting aside a small amount each month for travel expenses and administration of TEAM Japan.

dotIn addition to this, there is a need for HEALTH & ADMINISTRATION. This covers medical needs, pension, and some funding for the TEAM home office. Currently, this is set at $1406 per month.

dotOur total monthly support requirement for life and ministry in Japan is $7304.00. All of this money goes directly to TEAM, and is distributed to us under the administration of TEAM Japan.

One-Time Needs

dotIn addition to our monthly support, TEAM has also determined we will need additional funds to assist with language school costs and transportation. If you would like to know more about these ongoing needs, contact us.

dotKyehee and I are very aware of both the cost and serious nature of the work to which God has called us. As He allows, Japan will not be a temporary assignment, but a commitment by us to invest the rest of our lives in reaching the unreached.
