Training: Our formal and informal education.

dotSoon after Steven became a Christian, he enrolled in Southeastern Bible College in his hometown of Birmingham. Thanks to gifted and committed teachers, he received an excellent theological foundation, graduating in 1986 with a Bachlor's degree in Bible and Christian Education.

dotDuring these early years, Steven was discipled by a former Campus Crusade staff member, where he learned how to share his faith with others. He also participated in evangelism workshops through his home church, and was active in home visitation outreach.

dotIntent on receiving more training in preparation for the mission field, Steven headed to Dallas Theological Seminary in August of 1987. During his four years in seminary, he was active in the school's annual Missions Conference and regularly participated in international prayer groups.

dotWhile in Dallas, he also started an "International Dinner Night" in which groups of 10-12 students from around the world gathered weekly to share and pray about their home countries. Steven received his Master of Theology (ThM) degree with a focus in Pastoral Ministry in 1991.
